Barabshbu Massacre | The Martyr Ammar Abdullah: 'Your Mother is the One Who Should Bark'

Barabshbu Massacre | The Martyr Ammar Abdullah: 'Your Mother is the One Who Should Bark'

The massacre in Barabshbu began with a single demand.

Armed men stopped a young man named Ammar Abdullah in the street. He was on his way to retrieve his mobile phone — an ordinary errand, an ordinary morning.

They asked him his religion.

He told them he was Alawite.

Then they ordered him to bark like a dog.

Ammar Abdullah looked at the men holding weapons and said:

"Shame on you. Your mother is the one who should bark."

They shot him where he stood. In front of his brothers. In front of his family.

Abu Mohammad, a friend of Ammar's, described what happened next:

"From here the massacres began. That was the first bullet fired in the village."

Ammar Abdullah was martyred in the coastal massacres of Black March, on the 9th of March 2025.

He was killed for refusing humiliation.

He is remembered for what he said in the last moments of his life — not a plea, not a surrender, but a rebuke.
