The Abducted Nagham Shadi Aysha | From a Reuters Report

Nagham Shadi Aysha, a 23-year-old Alawite woman, left her home in the village of Al-Bayadiyya in Hama on June 2 to buy milk — and never came back.

Her father, Shadi Aysha, has been waiting since that day for any news of what happened to her.

He recounted how his family had already been forced to flee their previous home in a nearby village on March 7, during the wave of violence against Alawites that swept through the region.

"What can we do? We submit our fate to God."
