Khirbet al-Qabu

As HTS factions swept through the Baniyas countryside in March 2025, the small Alawite village of Khirbet al-Qabu was among those hit hardest. Militants stormed the village as part of their wider sectarian campaign and executed civilians whose only crime was their religious identity. The killings were not battlefield chaos — they were targeted and deliberate, carried out against unarmed residents who had no means of defence. Among the martyrs whose names were confirmed: – Shadi Nadim Ibrahim, a father of two young children. – Haidara Jamal Hammadi, a secondary school student. – Raslan Nadim Ibrahim, whose connection to Shadi suggests the Ibrahim family lost two of its own on the same day.
