Lattakia

The Lattakia governorate saw a systematic pattern of sectarian targeting that peaked in early March 2025. In the Al-Dautor neighborhood of Lattakia city, 65 civilians were martyred and another 13 were reported missing following a raid by armed groups on March 7. The violence forced widespread displacement, with families fleeing to the surrounding mountains. Despite official claims of investigations, the lack of immediate protection from international bodies led to a humanitarian catastrophe in the coastal city.
