Al-Ramela, Jableh: Another HTS Massacre Documented

A video emerges from Al-Ramela, a village in the Jableh countryside. The man holding the camera is walking. His voice is steady at first, then something shifts in it. He says there are children's bodies inside. The video cuts off. There is no more footage. No follow-up. No explanation for why it ends where it does. What exists is those few seconds: a man, a doorway or a room he cannot bring himself to fully enter on camera, and a sentence that should not have to exist in any language. HTS factions swept through the Jableh countryside as part of the broader campaign against Alawite villages across the coast. Al-Ramela had no strategic significance, no military value, no reason to become what it became in March 2025. The pattern was the same everywhere: civilian populations targeted, no distinction made between the old and the young, no quarter given. The children in that building had woken up that morning. Someone who knew them, or found them, felt compelled to record what had been done — to create a document, even a fragmentary one, against the possibility of denial. That is what the video is. That is why it matters. Their names are not yet known to this record. They will be sought.
